The Father of Our Country
Last week we studied George Washington and how he became known as "The Father of Our Country". We learned many facts about his life and why he is a very important part of our country's history. Tell me one interesting fact you learned during our study and your opinion about why he was a great leader. Don't forget to give reasons to support your opinion....why?????

As a young man, George Washington was a surveyor who measured land. Soon he became a soldier for the British Army like his older brother. I think George Washington was a great leader because he didn't let his army give up even when they were cold and hungry.

I learned about that George became a surveyor and he megred land.Becase he wanted to be a surveyor and megre land like his brother.George was the first peresidt of the Unided staits he was berave and he was a kind to pepole. luz
I think George Washington was a great leader and being a surveyor was very cool because he got to measure land!Plus when he faught he knew exactly where to hide. Thats what made him a great leader.
